sidebar: rats & placentas

If you’ve been in healthcare long enough, you may have stumbled into some odd jobs. Back in 2013, I use to conduct research on spinal cord injury rats. Mostly behavioral tests like measuring how long they can hold themselves up on a bar. Later, I developed a novel protocol for sterilizing human placentas… that would end up implanted on many thousands of peoples’ eyes.

The process to bringing creations to life is never quite as glamorous as we imagine.
